About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain existing and develop new curriculum in Social Studies for grades K–12
- Write, review, and revise curriculum and assessments to improve accuracy, alignment, and customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with content development team and product development members
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of curriculum development user stories
- Consult with and support teachers in the creation and implementation of curriculum
- Develop and revise Social Studies curriculum and assessments aligned to research-based literacy instruction
- Work with a cross-functional Agile team to complete projects and features
- Propose and implement new ways of working or procedures within own area
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in education, curriculum, or similar area preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience required, with virtual learning preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of curriculum development experience required, with curriculum to support asynchronous virtual learning preferred
- Demonstrated experience developing standards-aligned K–12 social studies curriculum
- Strong understanding of social studies content areas (e.g., history, civics, geography, economics)
- Experience applying instructional design best practices
