About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Use a mix of in-person and virtual outreach to engage 15+ faculty members or decision-makers daily.
- Proactively prospect and pursue new business opportunities with a hunter mindset.
- Strategically plan and manage territory and accounts to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Present, sell, and negotiate Pearson’s digital English Language Learning solutions in both virtual and face-to-face settings.
- Deliver product demonstrations, onboarding, and training to support long-term customer adoption.
- Manage pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking using Salesforce (OneCRM).
- Stay current on Pearson products, platforms, and trends in the English Language Learning market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and bookstore partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, product specialists, marketing, and sales leadership.
- Execute national and regional sales initiatives within your local market.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing sales culture through knowledge sharing and best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and successful work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of outstanding sales experience in adult education, higher education, or a related market.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, computer applications, CRM and business systems, and mobile technologies.
- Willingness to travel 3-4 days per week and attend regional and national conferences and events.
- Reside in the state of Massachusetts or Connecticut.
- Valid driver’s license.
