About the role
- Sell digital, print, and service solutions to 2/4-year college institutions to meet access, achievement, and affordability goals.
- Achieve or surpass territory sales targets and grow market share.
- Accelerate shift toward subscription-based materials to address student affordability and access.
- Collaborate with team members, specialists, and account executives on program/institution-wide solutions.
- Conduct back-to-school campaigns and campus engagement, connecting with 15+ faculty members daily via campus visits and virtual days.
- Work with bookstores to drive sell-through.
- Track and forecast sales activity in OneCRM (Salesforce.com).
- Deliver technology sales presentations to faculty and technology training sessions for students.
- Coordinate with Customer Success to support key customers and implement company initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on Pearson products and industry trends and share successful tactics across district, region, and nationally.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and successful work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of outstanding sales performance in the higher education market or a related industry.
- Proficiency with Office tools, mobile technologies, computer applications, and business systems.
- Determination and a strong desire to achieve results.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% including local college campuses and national meetings.
- Must be based within 1 hour of the territory.
- Comfort with digital media and consultative sales techniques.
- Experience tracking and forecasting in OneCRM (Salesforce.com).
