About the role
- Own performance marketing across Amazon and Google for multi-brand ad accounts
- Drive paid media campaigns on Amazon and Google (Search, Shopping, Performance Max)
- Daily campaign optimization: analyze performance, shift budgets, and optimize ads based on real-time ROAS, TACOS, and contribution margin
- Build and maintain keyword strategies and ASIN targeting structures for efficient acquisition and scale
- Run rigorous A/B tests across ad creatives, copy, bidding strategies, and targeting settings
- Collaborate with Creative, Brand Managers, and Ops to align ad strategy with inventory, pricing, and product launch schedules
- Own campaign dashboards and reporting flows; provide actionable insights to leadership weekly
- Manage Amazon Ads Console, Google Ads, bulk sheets, automation scripts, and analytics tools (e.g., Perpetua, Pacvue, Helium10, Data Studio)
- Drive ad spend efficiency and help achieve margin targets for each brand
- Document processes, build SOPs, and mentor junior team members as we scale
- KPIs include: Maintain or reduce Amazon TACOS by 10% within 90 days; Sustain 4x blended ROAS across Google campaigns; Grow non-branded traffic by 20% QoQ; Optimize campaigns to reduce wasted spend by 15% monthly; Launch and document at least 5 meaningful tests per month
- 30-60-90 day benchmarks: Audit all current campaigns and identify improvements; Launch full-funnel search and shopping strategies; Reduce low-performing ad spend; Roll out weekly reporting; Hit contribution margin goals for at least 2 brands; Take full ownership of Amazon and Google paid media
Requirements
- Expertise in Amazon Ads Console and Google Ads (Search, Shopping, PMax)
- Strong data analysis and performance reporting skills
- Proven track record of optimizing campaigns to scale profitably
- Excellent understanding of keyword and ASIN targeting strategies
- Experience managing high-velocity ad spend ($50k+/mo) with tight margin controls
- 3+ years managing Amazon and/or Google PPC at a performance marketing level
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (optional but preferred)
- Experience using Perpetua, Pacvue, Helium10, or bulk file optimization tools (nice-to-have)
- Background in e-commerce or direct response marketing (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with TikTok Shops, Meta Ads, or other channels is a plus
- Ability to execute strategy, build systems, and be accountable to performance metrics
