About the role
- Architect and build the AI-native Accounting system — the financial brain for autonomous systems.
- Create systems where autonomous agents handle bookkeeping, payments, and forecasting.
- Design and implement RAG systems that understand financial documents and agricultural workflows.
- Create AI agents that process invoices, reconcile bank statements, and generate compliance reports.
- Develop real-time analytics dashboards showing product-level profitability and seasonal cost trends.
- Establish the technical architecture and shape engineering culture that will serve hundreds of enterprises and process millions in transactions.
- Propose and engage in independent cutting edge AI research related to the mission.
- Work directly with the founders, own technical decisions, and lay the foundation for a potentially massive and fast growing SaaS company.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience working on technical projects with hands-on LLM integration, RAG systems, or AI application development.
- Up to 4 years of professional experience or equivalent project-based experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of RAG systems, vector databases, and semantic search.
- Proficiency in Python or JavaScript with full-stack development capabilities.
- Experience with document processing, OCR, and structured data extraction.
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration tools (nice to have).
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial workflows (nice to have).
- Familiarity with banking APIs and payment processing systems (nice to have).
- Background in agricultural or compliance-heavy industries (nice to have).
- Cloud deployment experience and DevOps knowledge (nice to have).
- Strong product intuition and user experience focus (nice to have).
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship status requested in application.
- Willingness to live in or relocate to the SF Bay Area and travel to California's Central Valley for client meetings/deployments.
