About the role

  • Support the production of high-quality, coordinated architectural documentation for residential and commercial construction projects in New Zealand
  • Develop detailed Revit models and produce accurate, council-ready drawing sets
  • Convert concept designs into fully detailed working drawings using Revit
  • Produce complete drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
  • Ensure outputs are accurate, well-coordinated, and ready for construction and consent submission
  • Ensure all documentation complies with NZS 3604 and NZ Building Code requirements
  • Deliver complete drawing packages within tight turnaround timelines
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy

Requirements

  • Proven experience in architectural drafting or BIM production (NZ residential experience preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (essential)
  • Solid understanding of NZS 3604, NZ Building Code, and consent documentation processes
  • Ability to independently produce accurate, coordinated, and buildable drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment
  • Experience working with builders, developers, or design-and-build companies
  • Understanding of cost-efficient design and practical buildability considerations
  • Previous experience in offshore, remote, or contract-based BIM roles
  • Exposure to multi-disciplinary coordination environments (architectural + structural + MEP)
