About the role
- Oversee the operational performance of RNG and other tangential facilities
- Ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure projects are operating within budget
- Maintain operational and financial KPI dashboards; analyze operational and financial trends
- Lead budgeting and operations planning in coordination with plant management and finance teams
- Hire, onboard, oversee, and be accountable for the performance of Peaks plant managers
- Reinforce a culture of safety and ensure compliance with policies
- Implement process improvements across the organization
- Develop and oversee the implementation of operational best practices
- Support plant managers with emergency scenario planning
- Manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders
- Support revenue optimization for the Peaks platform across RNG pathways
- Support the development and execution of commercial strategy
- Evaluate and implement value-added growth opportunities
- Develop business cases and presentations for executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, engineering, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in energy operations, engineering, project management, or a related role in energy, renewables, infrastructure, or industrial operations
- Experience with RNG, biogas, waste-to-energy, or similar assets strongly preferred.
- Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited structure.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and drives work forward independently.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in building and scaling a business.
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution; adaptable, resilient, and energized by change
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and meticulous analytical capability
- Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses and communicate complex concepts and data in an understandable manner to all levels of the organization.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint including writing, maintaining complex Excel formulas, and building PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams with a focus on operational, commercial and/or development objectives
- Familiarity with the renewable fuels industry’s regulatory landscape, market dynamics, and common technologies
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
