Travel to customer sites and provide various service repairs
Follow diagnostic repair plans as required by the manufacturer
Meet service goals while providing superior service
Document customer repair plans in a timely manner after repairs are completed
Maintain a neat and clean appearance
Efficiently navigate a computer
Perform basic diagnostics, repairs, and preventive service procedures on bus body systems, brake systems, exhaust, limited engine/drivetrain repairs, steering, and suspension

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be 21 years of age
Minimum high school graduate or equivalent preferred
Formal diesel and/or heavy-duty vehicle training preferred
At least 2 years of experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus, trucking, or heavy equipment environment
Diesel mechanic experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to inspect, diagnose, test, and repair buses or other vehicles and their systems
Skill at following verbal and written instructions
Knowledge of the use and care of hand tools, equipment, and machinery
Knowledge of safe work practices
Driver's License required
ASE certifications preferred but not required
CDL preferred
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening
