About the role
- Lead targeted expansion efforts by identifying and engaging existing PDQ Deploy & Inventory customers who could benefit from PDQ Connect.
- Conduct thoughtful account reviews to understand current workflows, pain points, and Connect-fit opportunities—despite limited product usage data.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach (inbound or outbound) through discovery, product demos, objection handling, and close.
- Work closely with Sales Engineers to scope technical fit, support proofs of concept, and deliver compelling demos tailored to customer needs.
- Educate and guide sysadmins, IT managers, and other stakeholders on how PDQ Connect can simplify endpoint management—especially for remote and cloud environments.
- Maintain clear, accurate pipeline tracking and account notes in Salesforce.
- Collaborate across teams to provide feedback from the field that helps refine our Connect positioning, enablement, and product direction.
- Identify expansion opportunities, drive interest in Connect, and guide customers through the buying journey.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Account Executive or Account Manager with closing responsibilities—preferably in a SaaS or IT-focused sales environment.
- Comfort working consultatively within existing customer accounts to uncover and pursue cross-sell opportunities.
- Strong communication and discovery skills, with an ability to tailor technical value to varying personas.
- Ability to self-manage outbound prospecting efforts and handle inbound interest effectively.
- Familiarity with endpoint management or sysadmin personas is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for working closely with Sales Engineers in a team-selling model.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (we use Salesforce) and maintaining accurate deal data.
- Proven track record of learning new SaaS products and ability to demo them at a high level and bring in additional technical resources for deeper technical requirements.
- Detail-oriented, organized and a good team player; independent, highly motivated, and solution-driven.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly with the ability to build authentic business relationships.
- Ability to proactively problem-solve as customer liaison across technical and commercial obstacles.
- Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work on-site 4 days a week in Salt Lake City, UT or within commuting distance of South Salt Lake City headquarters.
