General Counsel

• Serve as the company’s primary advisor on all legal matters
• Guide company policy to reflect legislative changes and statutory compliance
• Work with Sales and Operations teams on contract design and changes
• Work closely with Sales and Customer Support in contract negotiations
• Work closely with Partnership team on third party agreements
• Partner with HR team on employee relations and employment matters
• Provide legal advice to the company's management and business development teams
• Assess company decisions with an eye toward expanding legal rights and mitigating risk
• Represent the company in legal matters and complex matters related to the law
• Support strategic initiatives like mergers, acquisitions, and new business lines
• Oversee the company's intellectual property portfolio and data privacy programs
• Manage all litigation and disputes with customers, including selecting and supervising outside counsel
• Update leadership on pertinent legislative and regulatory changes
• Communicate with outside counsel, clients, and regulatory agencies when needed
• Maintain a record of company legal documents
