About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and pursue new affiliate partnerships (Direct and Network) to grow your portfolio and generate revenue streams across tech and consumer goods.
  • Manage a portfolio of affiliate accounts, ensuring high-quality service, timely optimizations, and the cultivation of long-lasting relationships.
  • Consistently work toward meeting sales targets and showcasing growth, using data to recommend flat-fee placements and CPA optimizations.
  • Develop an understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to consult clients on how CNET’s content surfaces in search and AI-driven environments.
  • Partner closely with internal Affiliate Operations, Editorial, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure the seamless execution of commerce solutions.
  • Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline, providing regular forecasting and progress tracking to management.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of digital sales experience, with at least 1–2 years specifically focused on Affiliate Marketing.
  • Familiarity with the affiliate industry, including experience with major networks (Impact, CJ, Rakuten, etc.) and various commission structures.
  • A strong interest in SEO/GEO trends is a major plus, as these drive the visibility of our affiliate-led content.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present confidently to partners and internal teams.
  • You lead by example and are known for owning your work while treating everyone with respect and kindness.
