About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and update subcontractor prequalification database
- Review, evaluate and prepare reports on financial assessments, and analyze qualification submissions from subcontractors
- Meet with subcontractors as needed to review and obtain prequalification information, including financial statements
- Evaluate subcontractor capacity and assist in developing project-specific risk mitigation plans
- Meet with internal teams to understand prequalification requirements
- Assist in subcontractor outreach
- Liaise with credit associations and references
- Prepare reports on prequalification status, subcontractor utilization, and other reporting as required
- Complete subcontractor default insurance reports/claims
- Assist with presentations on the prequalification process
- Monitor subcontract values, subcontract security and risk mitigation plans
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 to 3 years of experience in credit management strongly preferred
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is considered an asset
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to review, interpret, and analyze financial statements to assess financial performance and trends
- Strong customer service skills; comfortable and capable of telephone outreach and communication with subcontractors
- Team player with effective interpersonal skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and professional judgment
- Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of the construction industry is considered an asset
- Knowledge/experience with Oracle, Enterprise One software, Power B.I and Compass software is considered an asset
