About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assists with updating drawings and specifications
- Documents field records for quality, production, labor, and materials
- Assists with inventory and tracking time sheets, costs, and quantities
- Prepares quantity takeoffs
- Assists in monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections, deficiencies and issue management
- Conducts basic safety inspections and training, identifies and corrects safety hazards, and leads by example in safety practices and procedures
- Assists the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes and billings and workforce planning
- Assists with schedules and monitoring performance
- Assists in creating construction sequence and work plans
- Construction surveying and layout, including as-built documentation
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade or a related field
- 1 year of progressive construction experience
- Ability to learn and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including supervisors and subtrade partners
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Revit considered an asset
