About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure multidiscipline construction technologies, including models, tools, and practices, are current and standards are followed
Collaborate with the project team to develop construction-site logistics models
Coordinate and manage trade detailing and design deliverables
Liaise between design teams and construction teams
Review and recommend scopes where VDC tools and processes can be incorporated during the pursuit stage
Participate in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements
Collaborate with design and trade partners to support project documentation
Review VDC/technology contract language and the BIM execution plan with the Manager, Integrated Construction Technology
Establish and set up trade partner model coordination processes, including shop and fabrication model review, and hand them over to project teams
Aggregate and maintain current multidiscipline construction models while ensuring modeling standards are followed
Create and coordinate RFIs with the project team
Identify opportunities and leverage integrated construction technology on projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a buildings industry-related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural)
5 to 7 years of construction-related experience, including 2 to 3 years of Virtual Design and Construction-related experience
Strong understanding of construction sequences
Awareness of and some involvement in implementing construction technology
Ability to provide project model management
Knowledge of the building construction process and various building components involved at each stage of construction
Ability to ensure the quality of virtual design and construction models from design and trade partners
Understanding of trade detailing and design workflows
Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications and translate them into a complete 3D/4D Building Information Model
Intermediate knowledge of 3D modeling software and ability to create content in VDC software
Ability to provide input into a Building Information Model (BIM) execution plan
Ability to read and understand the construction model and scope to create and apply a VDC schedule
Ability to create and communicate markups to construction drawings
