About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Shaping forward-looking AI solutions: You are responsible for designing and developing modern machine learning solutions to sustainably solve our clients' complex challenges.
Building intelligent GenAI architectures: You design and integrate innovative Generative AI solutions and RAG architectures and support the development of modern agentic tools.
Orchestrating modern cloud AI services: You confidently use and connect AI services from leading hyperscalers such as Google Vertex AI and Azure AI Foundry to fully leverage technological potential.
Bridging to production (MLOps): You not only develop ML models but ensure their smooth integration into production systems through professional engineering and operationalization (MLOps).
End-to-end support & consulting: As a trusted technical advisor you guide our clients from the first creative ideation (PoC) to the successful production rollout of their AI use cases.
Driving technological trends: You keep an eye on the AI market, evaluate new technologies with curiosity, and actively help evolve our Data & AI area with your initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid project experience: You have several years of experience in IT projects, during which you have worked intensively with machine learning, AI, and modern data processing.
Confidence in cloud environments: You are comfortable with at least one of the three major hyperscalers (AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure) and know how to make use of their capabilities.
Proficiency in Python & frameworks: You are proficient in Python and bring practical experience with common ML/AI frameworks to our projects.
Practical experience with AI ecosystems: You have actively worked with platforms such as Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, or Azure AI Foundry and implemented solutions on them.
Enthusiasm for GenAI: You have hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering and have already created initial agentic workflows (e.g., via LangChain or LlamaIndex).
Holistic architectural understanding: You understand the basics of API development and cloud architectures to integrate AI models seamlessly and reliably into existing systems.
Strong communication skills: You enjoy explaining complex AI concepts clearly and supporting our clients in their strategic decisions.
Data engineering foundations: Ideally you have a solid foundation in SQL or modern data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) to independently drive data preparation for your models.
Knowledge of vector databases: You have had first contact with vector databases (e.g., Vertex AI Vector Search, Azure AI Search, or pgvector).
Relevant certifications: You have completed or are willing to obtain certifications in machine learning/AI for Google and Azure with our support. Ideally you also bring knowledge of AWS Bedrock.
Team player with drive: You demonstrate result orientation and enjoy collaborating with our diverse, passionate team of experts.
