About the role
- You will own the end-to-end onboarding journey for Payrails merchants - from contract signature through project kickoff, technical implementation, testing, and go-live
- You will design and execute customer integration plans and change management strategies, defining clear timelines and milestones
- You will set and manage clear expectations with internal and external stakeholders through proactive communication and regular status updates
- You will identify and resolve risks or blockers early in the onboarding journey to keep projects on track and merchants on schedule
- You will partner closely with the Solution Engineering team to improve the overall Payrails customer journey
- You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy
- You will build and maintain centralised documentation, playbooks, and onboarding assets that enable internal teams and merchants to self-serve
- You will travel to customer sites as needed to run workshops, facilitate go lives or join in launch parties
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of experience in project or onboarding management, ideally in a fast-paced, complex B2B or fintech environment
- You have experience with API integrations, technical documentation, and working with engineering and product teams to resolve implementation challenges
- You are familiar with payment processing systems, financial services integrations, or e-commerce infrastructure
- You are comfortable using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Linear, Notion etc.
- You are highly organised, comfortable in high-pressure environments and can bring structure to ambiguity
- You have experience managing multiple concurrent projects with cross-functional stakeholders, balancing technical complexity with customer-first thinking
- You bring a strong sense of ownership and a proactive mindset, constantly looking for ways to improve the merchant experience
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent field
- Fluency in English - additional languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Arabic) are a strong plus for our global merchant base
- PMP or other project management certifications are a plus
