About the role
- About Payrails: Payrails is a global payment software company helping leading enterprises take control of payment operations and maximize performance. Role: Own design strategy and execution for complex product areas from exploration to production-ready work. Lead strategic design initiatives spanning multiple surfaces, teams, and systems. Understand user needs, constraints, and workflows and turn insights into flows, frameworks, and patterns. Partner closely with Engineering, Product and GTM teams to drive decisions and scale design. Raise the quality bar via contribution, design reviews, mentorship, and standards for craft. Help shape Payrails design system, process, and culture as company grows.
Requirements
- You bring 8+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally in complex B2B, SaaS, or infrastructure environments, and including experience operating at Staff level or equivalent. You’re confident designing for complexity not just individual screens, but systems, user journeys, and mental models. You have a strong point of view, grounded in user needs and product thinking and you know how to communicate it clearly. You’ve worked closely with engineers and product teams in fast-paced environments, and know how to move from idea to iteration to delivery. You take ownership, move with urgency, and sweat the details from flows to micro-interactions. You’re motivated by impact, not credit and you’re excited to help shape both product and team. You’re a builder at heart energized by the opportunity to define a brand from early stages and evolve it as the company grows.
