About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle acquirer chargebacks: review dispute files, verify admissibility, determine liability, and assign the dispute to the responsible party
  • Handle pre-arbitrations and arbitrations
  • Maintain strong relationships with issuing banks and partners
  • Provide advice and solutions to merchants
  • Manage communication with the company’s various departments
  • Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance for CB (Carte Bancaire), Visa and Mastercard networks
  • Participate in projects to evolve and improve work tools and systems
  • Report operational and technical issues to the Head of the Chargebacks team to prevent operational risks and improve the customer experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to dissect complex cases and interpret KPIs
  • Willingness to learn a technical role and to be open to self-improvement
  • Rigour and strong organizational skills to manage high volumes without sacrificing quality
  • Enjoy problem solving and interacting with merchants, banks and internal teams
  • Fluent English, comfortable in both written and spoken communication
  • Previous experience in banking or with an acquirer, or knowledge of the payments environment and disputes is a plus but not required
  • 2–3 year post-secondary diploma (Bac+2/3 equivalent) in banking, insurance or a related field is appreciated but not required
  • Comfortable with numbers; proficiency in Excel is a plus
  • Knowledge of Italian is a plus
