Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the data engineering team.

Requirements

12+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience leading an Engineering Team
Demonstrated deep hands-on expertise with enterprise-class data platforms and pipelines at scale
Strong SQL skills with ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex queries
Experience with both batch processing (Spark, Dataproc) and real-time/streaming systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Dataflow)
Hands-on proficiency with Cloud data services. Preferably - BigQuery, Bigtable, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub
Strong programming background in Python with ability to review code and guide technical decisions
Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and distributed systems
3+ years of demonstrated people management experience building and leading engineering teams
Proven experience leading teams within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong execution skills - track record of delivering complex projects through teams
Experience with Agile methodologies, project planning, and estimation
