Monitor cryptocurrency customer activity across platforms to ensure compliance with regulations including FinCEN and OFAC
Utilize advanced analytical techniques to assess complex information sets and formulate recommendations for reporting to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
Conduct comprehensive end-to-end reviews of potential illegal or suspicious activities
Perform timely and detailed analyses of potential AML activities and suspicious financial transactions across diverse jurisdictions
Evaluate customer profiles and analyze large datasets to confirm activities align with expected norms and KYC regulations
Leverage internal data and open-source research platforms to investigate illicit activities
Document findings in narrative format within case management systems and prepare reports for management
Exercise sound judgment in decisions and recommendations related to case investigations
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Proven ability to analyze large amounts of data to report critical information
Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues
Proven knowledge of international and regional Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions regulations and guidance such as Bank Secrecy Act (US) and US Patriot Act.
Interact with peers and financial crimes risk professionals, all levels of management, and other internal or external constituents
Crypto-specific investigative work experience or strong foundational cryptocurrency ecosystem knowledge
Experience in use of cryptocurrency specific forensics tools- TRM Labs, Chainalysis, Reactor, and/or Elliptic
ACAMS certification
Advanced data query and analysis skills (SQL, SAS, Teradata, Hadoop, etc.)
