Own the end-to-end strategy for the money movement general ledgering systems — ensuring funds flow accurately and are accounted for across internal platforms, with support for a variety of funding and disbursement methods.
Define and prioritize product requirements across key areas like settlement timing, transaction visibility, reconciliation tooling, error handling and disbursement processing
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the ACH ecosystem, including file formatting (NACHA), processing windows, risk and return codes, timing cutoffs and workflows
Lead product capabilities that support diverse funding methods, including ACH debits and credits, card-based transactions, digital wallets, and real-time disbursement networks
Communicate the product development roadmap across agile teams and stakeholders, while defining and documenting user stories that clearly guide technical requirements and implementation across both existing systems and new platform initiatives
Own the organization of the backlog, working proactively and collaboratively with Engineering management to ensure proper prioritization and capacity planning
Lead backlog grooming, refinement, and sprint planning sessions to ensure teams are set up for successful delivery
Act as a subject matter expert in funding mechanics and payment infrastructure, bridging business needs with technical implementation by collaborating with internal product teams, engineering, operations, accounting, and compliance partners
Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop products that meet both business goals and customer needs, with a keen focus on how money moves through internal and external networks — including origination, processing, settlement, and disbursement.
Conduct market research and monitor evolving industry trends, regulations, and innovations across payment networks and funding technologies to inform strategic product decisions.
Collaborate with go-to-market teams to support product launches, documentation, and internal training, ensuring effective rollout of new funding-related features.
Requirements
8+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on money movement, reconciliation, and settlement
An understanding of accounting principles and experience working directly with accounting teams
Payments industry knowledge, including experience with ACH, wire transfers, card settlements, and reconciliation processes
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to leverage data in making informed product decisions
Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities, with experience guiding development teams and managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships
Must be detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality product documentation
Intrinsic curiosity to dive into complex problems and review solutions
Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
Familiarity with accounting processes and financial events
