About the role

  • Manage team of engineers, providing leadership, mentorship, salary & performance reviews, and support their success and professional growth
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership to shape the engineering culture and align engineering strategies with broader business goals (including VP, Heads of, Architecture, Security)
  • Drive and promote cross-company tech initiatives, overseeing their entire lifecycle together with your teams. In SRE a lot of focus topics include operational excellence, IT processes (e.g. incident management)

Requirements

  • Proven track record of hiring & managing team(s) that have shipped and operated highly available, distributed systems
  • Multiple years of hands-on experience in SRE (preferably) or platform / infrastructure engineering
  • Experience with product discovery methodologies for (internal) customers
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, high-paced environment
  • Clear and persuasive writing and in-person communication in English, German is an advantage not a must
  • Bonus: Successfully worked with DORA4, DevEx, Team Topologies
  • Bonus: Familiarity with ISO27001, PCI-DSS, Kritis
