About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on drug and occupational health services, including best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Support client-facing activities, including: Participating in prospect and client calls, Providing guidance on program design and product selection, Explaining capabilities, compliance considerations, and service options
  • Partner with internal teams (Customer Success, Sales, Operations) to: Provide expertise on complex client needs, Recommend solutions tailored to client requirements, Assist in resolving escalations or unique scenarios, Offer consultative guidance to improve client program effectiveness, compliance, and overall experience
  • Maintain strong knowledge of: Federal and state drug screening regulations, Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, Occupational health screening standards
  • Collaborate with vendors, laboratories, collection sites, and third-party administrators to: Clarify capabilities and service offerings, Address service-related questions or challenges, Support program alignment with client needs
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by: Acting as a resource for team questions, Providing input on process improvements and service enhancements, Assisting with documentation or guidance materials as needed
  • Stay current on emerging trends, regulatory updates, and industry changes to ensure accurate and proactive guidance
  • Attend relevant conferences, webinars, or industry events to maintain subject matter expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health, Medical, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in drug and occupational health services within the background screening industry required
  • Proven experience supporting client programs, preferably in a consultative or client-facing capacity
  • Advanced knowledge of drug screening programs and methodologies
  • Occupational health services
  • Medical terminology
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local compliance requirements
  • DOT regulations
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, client-friendly recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly in client-facing settings
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Experience working with vendors such as Laboratories, Collection sites, Third-party administrations, Medical Review Offices
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and respond to dynamic client needs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
