About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Owns the strategy and execution for the Drug and Occupational Health functions within the company.
- Responsible for managing and maximizing team utilization for drug and occupational health products with our customer base.
- Act as a liaison for Third-Party Administrators, Laboratories, Internal Personnel, Clients, and Client Applicants.
- Develop the company’s Drug and Occupational Health Services strategy to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with clients and/or internal teams to understand the program’s needs.
- Service as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the team and engage with prospective customers, existing customers, partners and internal team members in that capacity.
- Discover and implement new capabilities that yield competitive advantage.
- Ensure adherence to State and Federal regulatory compliance in Drug and Occupational Health product screenings.
- Monitor KPI’s to manage operational and vendor performance.
- Present Drug and Occupational Health solutions and optimizations to clients, Executive Leadership, and board members as needed.
- Create workflows and SOP’s for the department.
- Manage performance and productivity for team members in the department including development of training materials, setting department expectations and ensuring team members are aligned with department standards and industry best practices.
- Attend in person conferences and seminars relevant to the functions of the department.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years’ experience working in Drug and Occupational Health specifically within the background screening market.
- Advanced Knowledge of Drug and Occupational Health trends
- Ability to utilize that knowledge to build department strategy.
- Proven Leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Understanding of State and Local laws regarding drug screening in the workforce.
- Experience with Department of Transportation regulations.
- Experience in managing expectations of collection sites, laboratories, vendors, third party administrators.
- Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and third-party administrators.
