About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Qualify inbound sales inquiries and determine next steps and resources
- Schedule meetings and hand off qualified prospects to appropriate sales team members
- Retain prospects and work to close business when appropriate
- Nurture opportunities in “fly over” markets to close when appropriate
- Create targeted prospecting campaigns through phone and email outreach
- Document and maintain prospect status, data integrity, and interaction records in Salesforce
- Partner with Regional Sales Directors to develop prospect-targeting strategies
- Prepare reports and dashboards visualizing Commercial team activity
- Report monthly on KPIs regarding the new business pipeline
- Continuously improve lead generation processes and Commercial team reports
- Conduct targeted market research and document findings in Salesforce
- Complete Commercial Team special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales
- Use Salesforce, Govspend, AI-powered prospecting tools, and other tools to build targeted account and contact lists and run outbound campaigns
- Maintain a disciplined prospecting cadence across phone, email, and social channels
- Align with Regional Sales Directors on target accounts, messaging, and territory priorities
- Find creative ways to generate and book qualified meetings for Regional Sales Directors
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ year experience in sales, sales development, marketing, account management, or customer service
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Experience with high-volume outbound calling and emailing
- Able to gather and synthesize information accurately and quickly from multiple sources, including for reports
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and advanced Google research skills
- Proven ability to learn new software quickly
- Prior experience with Salesforce or another CRM; experience generating Salesforce reports is an asset
- Prior experience with Power BI or other analytics tools is an asset
- Experience with sales engagement/prospecting platforms such as Govspend and AI-powered tools is an asset
- Experience prospecting into government or public sector accounts is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with government/public sector procurement processes is an asset
- Experience in a similar software/tech environment highly regarded
- Experience in parking is an asset but not required
- Post-secondary degree is an asset but not required
