About the role

  • Building and maintaining our Kubernetes clusters, (not just creating tools and also deploying apps with Helm), but the emphasis is on being able to do this in a code-first way: infrastructure as code.
  • Work closely with other teams to identify pain points and problems around the platform.
  • Develop new tools and frameworks to improve data platforms.
  • Manage CI/CD. Design, develop, and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues using tools like Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Participate in code reviews and help teammates with constructive feedback.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience with containerization technology (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in provisioning infrastructure and managing configurations with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong knowledge of Data lake services on AWS (Glue, Athena).
  • Linux experience: troubleshooting, Bash/Python/Perl scripting, familiarity with multiple distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL).
  • Experience developing automation for CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins.
  • Good to have Kafka knowledge.
  • Desire to learn and participate in coaching junior members of the team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding attention to details.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
