Conducts site surveys to identify problem areas for scope creation
Checks type and condition of drainage and verifies number of parking and handicapped stalls and ADA slope
Measures square footage of asphalt, concrete apron, and sidewalks
Notes electric and sewer locations (DigSafe)
Conducts material and soil testing as needed
Clearly marks repair areas on aerials (asphalt in numerals, concrete in letters)
Takes photos and/or video of overall lot and repair areas
Submits completed surveys to Project Manager and uploads report and photos into the PaveIT system
Travels to job sites and monitors work from start to finish; first to arrive and last to leave each day
Acts as on-site quality control manager and documents adherence to specifications and requirements
Ensures that all safety procedures are followed per KAI safety policy
Keeps excellent records of all job activities and uploads reports and photos to the PaveIT system daily
Communicates daily with assigned Project Manager
Builds rapport with client, subcontractor, and other professionals
Conducts pre-construction meetings with all stakeholders and meets with customer’s appointed representative each morning to review daily schedule
Requirements
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, or business
Hands on pavement construction knowledge preferred
Technically savvy: iPhone, Android, Tablet, Copy Machine, Printer, Phone System Operation, with strong aptitude for learning new software applications
Ability to work in a demanding and nebulous environment in sometimes extreme heat
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sense of urgency and passion for excellence
Ability to travel regionally or nationally (Occasionally)
