About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and cultivate strong relationships throughout the Western institutional investment community, ensuring Patria's brand, platform, and capabilities are effectively represented.
- Systematically map and target investors not presently invested with Patria; establish new relationships and coordinate meetings and roadshows.
- Drive follow-up after presentations, field information requests, and coordinate internally to ensure responses are delivered efficiently and the sales process advances.
- Interface with field consultants where relevant, in coordination with existing sales leadership and product teams.
- Deliver market intelligence — investor developments, changes in appetite and buying behavior, competitive dynamics — that informs the firm's marketing and business strategy.
- Work with product leadership to package and position new funds and strategies based on LP and consultant input and competitive assessment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6–8 years of directly relevant fundraising / investor relations experience with a recent focus on private markets, in-house or at a third-party placement agent.
- In-depth knowledge of private markets products, including private equity, credit, infrastructure, real assets, and semi-liquid structures.
- Experience navigating institutional LP relationships across one or more channels: pension funds, insurers, endowments, foundations, consultants. RIAs.
- Existing West Coast relationships are a strong plus.
- A consultative, solutions-oriented approach to investor engagement — asset-allocation-level dialogue rather than product push.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex investment concepts to diverse audiences and a track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Western US.
