About the role

  • Scale and expand Patreon’s membership monetization capabilities to help creators grow their businesses
  • Drive A/B testing and data-informed iteration to optimize monetization strategies and user flows
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers to design, build, and iterate on monetization features
  • Lead development of fullstack features, focusing on React and TypeScript frontend and Python and MySQL backend
  • Contribute to a strong product-oriented engineering culture, best practices, quality, and user empathy

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience designing and running A/B tests, analyzing results, and turning insights into action
  • Comfortable diving into both frontend and backend code to deliver end-to-end functionality
  • Experience with modern frontend technologies like React and TypeScript
  • Experience building reliable backend systems in Python and MySQL
  • Passionate about shipping impactful features quickly and iteratively, using data and experimentation to inform decisions
  • Ability to collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or the equivalent
  • Ability to be in-office 2 days per week (hybrid)
