About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and lead the procurement function from the ground up
  • Establish organization-wide procurement policies, processes, approval workflows, spend controls, and governance
  • Define and manage procurement KPIs, including cost savings, cycle time, and compliance rate
  • Partner with Legal and Finance on contract management and financial systems
  • Build a vendor management program and drive sourcing strategy
  • Create and manage a small team, set priorities and quality standards, and provide coaching and escalation support
  • Review and approve significant RFPs, sourcing recommendations, and contract terms
  • Drive procurement policy adoption across departments and train department heads and budget owners
  • Monitor and report on maverick/off-contract spend
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement procurement software platforms integrated with LinkSquares and NetSuite
  • Own the procurement technology roadmap and manage procurement software vendor relationships
  • Set contract management strategy and standards within LinkSquares CLM
  • Oversee sourcing strategy and major RFx events
  • Lead or co-lead strategic and high-value vendor negotiations and relationships
  • Develop executive dashboards and report on procurement spending, savings, and compliance
  • Ensure procurement data integrity and accurate spend categorization within NetSuite

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership/people-management role
  • Proven record of building procurement functions or programs from scratch and managing them through scaled growth
  • Experience implementing or managing procurement/P2P software platforms
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence and drive process adoption across departments without direct authority
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience building spend reporting and dashboards
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field (desired qualification)
  • MBA a plus
  • Firsthand experience with NetSuite (desired qualification)
  • Experience with LinkSquares or other CLM tools strongly preferred
  • Builder mindset and ability to establish and scale a procurement function
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, collaborative approach
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of new processes
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong business judgment
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Travel requirements: less than 25%
