About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the sales team serving the independent tax preparation market
- Achieve growth objectives and strengthen relationships with partners
- Set and achieve revenue, budget, growth, market share, and profitability objectives for the Tax division sales team
- Provide leadership and direction to Sales and Support teams
- Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate sales personnel
- Develop and execute sales strategies, business plans, and forecasts
- Manage and retain strategic partners and key accounts
- Build relationships with industry influencers, strategic partners, stakeholders, and trade associations
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, partner meetings, and other forums
- Lead contract negotiations and close strategic opportunities and partnerships
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Technology, Marketing, Enrollment, Compliance, senior leadership, and other partners
- Use Salesforce CRM strategy, data integrity, metrics, industry trends, market insights, and performance reporting to improve pipeline visibility and inform decisions
- Provide recommendations to senior leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
- Typically 12+ years with bachelor's or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in client-facing leadership in the financial services or tax industry
- In depth knowledge of the operations of the Tax division and/or industry
- Solid understanding of technology and operational process required to deliver and support new products
- Exceptional financial acumen, including working with P&Ls, reading partner and Pathward Financial metrics, trend analysis, and other financial tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in CRM functionality
- Ability to communicate, influence, and maintain relationships with senior leaders and C-level executives
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Master's degree preferred
