About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Personally source, interview, shepherd, and close candidates across technical and non-technical functions
- Close at least 2–3 hires per month from sourcing through signed offer
- Partner with hiring managers to define scorecards and manage the full talent lifecycle
- Hire, direct, measure, and manage external recruiters, sourcers, and contingency firms
- Deliver a flawless, high-touch candidate experience with fast follow-ups and reliable interview coordination
- Build scalable recruiting processes and tooling, including ATS, scheduling, pipeline tracking, and interview systems
- Report to the founders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully recruited both deeply technical roles, including AI researchers, ML engineers, and senior software engineers, and go-to-market/business roles, including sales leaders, marketers, and chiefs of staff; this is a hard requirement
- Senior individual contributor who executes hands-on recruiting
- Persuasive, high-energy recruiting and candidate-closing ability
- Experience building recruiting structure with topgrading, scorecards, pipeline metrics, and tooling decisions
- High integrity and transparent pipeline reporting, hours tracking, and candidate assessments
- Ability to move quickly, manage multiple searches, and maintain candidate and search momentum
- Experience scaling an early-stage startup through a 2–3x headcount phase preferred
- Experience recruiting in AI/ML preferred
- Network of proven external recruiters and sourcers preferred
- Ability to work in the office Tuesday–Thursday / 3 days per week
- Currently eligible to work in the United States
- Full-time employee availability; not a contract role
