About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own day-to-day operations and reliability of our GCP infrastructure
Maintain and improve our Kubernetes clusters (deployments, scaling, observability, cost)
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
Consolidate infrastructure from multiple teams into a single unified devops function
Mature our release management and synthetic monitoring
Partner with engineering and support on performance, security, and incident response
Contribute to our roadmap for infrastructure, deployment, and platform reliability
Establish and participate in an on-call rotation for production infrastructure
Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Error Budgets

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5 years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience
Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, GKE, IAM, networking, Cloud SQL, etc.)
Strong Kubernetes experience in production environments
Terraform or other IaC experience
Python for tooling and automation
Experience with observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
Comfort working independently
Production experience at enterprise scale
US-based, able to work core hours overlapping with Mountain Time
Background in security-conscious environments (nice to have)
Startup or small-team experience preferred (nice to have)
