About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the global communications and fundraising functions at Pathfinder International.
  • Reporting to the Communications Director, support the development of communications products and organization of events, as well as digital content for the website, social media channels, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Support the elevation of Pathfinder’s brand among key audiences.
  • Provide editorial support to country teams, including but not limited to content development for blogs, stories, 1-pagers, briefs, and other materials.
  • Graphics/visuals development for various audiences, including donors, partners, and media.
  • Proofreading/copy editing.
  • Supports Pathfinder’s engagement in high-priority global conferences, coordinating panels and events, promotion, preparation and follow-up.
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns across digital channels, including email, social media, and website content.
  • Update and manage website content ensuring accuracy, consistency, and user-friendly navigation.
  • Apply basic SEO best practices to improve search visibility.
  • Support email marketing efforts, including drafting, formatting, and scheduling communications.
  • Monitor campaign performance and compile basic reports on key metrics (e.g., engagement, traffic, email performance).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field required
  • 1-3 years of experience in communications and marketing
  • Basic knowledge of contemporary software applications for design (Canva, Adobe products) and web-based solutions and apps, specifically content management systems.
  • Proven ability to manage and implement cross-functional initiatives. This includes the ability to effectively synthesize and coordinate the work of others.
  • Ability to focus on all areas of a project and execute a task to high standards.
  • Proven ability to influence using diplomacy skills with key stakeholders.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a matrixed, international organization
  • Experience working in the global development field
  • Fluency in French, Portuguese or Arabic
  • Experience with non-USAID-funded projects
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality on work-related issues.
