About the role
- Manage and mentor a team of help desk technicians; set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Oversee help desk operations; ensure timely resolution of user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
- Coordinate with other IT teams to escalate complex issues and contribute to IT strategy and the IT roadmap.
- Maintain Google Workspace: configure user accounts, permissions, access controls, and collaborate on onboarding.
- Manage Okta SSO integration with Google Workspace: set up SAML-based SSO and automate user provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Ensure security and compliance: monitor user access and permissions, participate in security audits and risk assessments.
- Vendor management: work with vendors including Google and Okta to resolve issues and evaluate new tools.
- Documentation and training: maintain IT process documentation and conduct end-user training on Google Workspace and Okta SSO.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications: Google Workspace Administrator, Okta Certified Administrator (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace administration and Okta SSO.
- Experience with MacOS Macbook Pro, Apple devices, and Apple Device Management (JAMF).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Slack and Zoom administration experience a plus.
