About the role

  • Lead the design and implementation of a rapid qualitative analysis of provider readiness, barriers, and hesitancy influencing TPT uptake among 10 leading private providers across 3 districts of Mumbai (Govandi, Sion, Kurla)
  • Analyze interview data to identify key themes and prepare a comprehensive Private Provider Hesitancy Analysis Report summarizing themes identified, provider concerns, and recommendations for targeted demand generation strategies
  • Conduct gap analysis of existing national and state-level risk communication materials with the Project Lead, reviewing provider hesitancy findings and beneficiary needs related to TPT awareness, risk perception, and hesitancy
  • Develop an evidence-based TPT Gap Analysis Report identifying specific behavioral barriers among private providers and household contacts, along with the Project Lead
  • Design a Demand Generation Framework specifying priority messages, recommended communication channels, and roles for providers, beneficiaries, and project staff in addressing identified barriers, along with the Project Lead
  • Develop a finalized Demand Generation Toolkit including high-fidelity Provider Value-Proposition Aids and Beneficiary Decision-Support Materials tailored to Mumbai context, along with the Project Lead

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree or Doctorate in Public Health/Social and Behavioral Sciences/Health Communication/Marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in health demand generation, behavioral change communication, or private sector health engagement, of which at least 5 years should be in TB or infectious disease programs
  • Demonstrated expertise in qualitative research methods including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, thematic analysis, and rapid assessments
  • Strong understanding of private healthcare provider behavior, motivations, and barriers to guideline adherence in the Indian context
  • Experience in designing and implementing demand generation strategies, risk communication campaigns, and provider engagement interventions
  • Expertise in developing communication materials, job aids, and decision-support tools for healthcare providers and patients
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize qualitative data, identify actionable insights, and translate findings into practical recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage with private providers, and project stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is required.
