About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the architectural SME and coach for an embedded business domain, bridging strategic objectives with executable solution designs.
Design resilient integration patterns - focusing on APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud middleware - to connect upstream and downstream systems cleanly.
Translate enterprise guardrails into practical delivery models, balancing rapid execution with long-term architectural health.
Partner closely with Finance, Technology, Security, and Data teams to convert functional requirements into clear, implementable technical designs.
Help shape data migration, security, and governance strategies to ensure auditability, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
Support delivery teams through design, build, test, and deployment phases, resolving architectural risks and ensuring continuous alignment.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.)
7+ years experience designing enterprise-scale solutions in complex IT environments.
Strong practical knowledge of modern enterprise integration patterns, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and middleware.
Solid experience with cloud architectures, with a specific focus on Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) sufficient to work effectively within established guardrails.
Understanding of security, risk, and compliance requirements within financial, investment, or highly regulated industries.
Ability to influence stakeholders, coach delivery teams, and confidently navigate complex technical landscapes.
