About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and secure scalable environments across Azure and AWS.
Take a lead role in managing IAM/RBAC and implementing Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect critical financial assets.
Automate the provisioning and configuration of resources (including EC2 instances and serverless components) using Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
Develop and maintain high-velocity pipelines via GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
Manage and scale container solutions using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, ECS).
Oversee monitoring, alerting, and logging (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Datadog/Prometheus) while relentlessly optimizing for cost efficiency and resource utilization.
Implement robust disaster recovery and high-availability strategies, providing Tier 3 support for complex cloud incidents.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A relevant tertiary degree would be beneficial (Computer Science, IT, etc.)
3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps.
Proven proficiency in both AWS (specifically EC2 and WAF) and Azure.
Deep experience with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and Docker.
Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Familiarity with multi-cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and secure traffic management via WAF.
Expert-level knowledge of IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD management.
AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
Azure Solutions Architect or Administrator.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
