About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide input into revenue targets and strategies to support the Partnership, primarily for programs and initiatives in California.
Use various donor research and relationship building methods to Identify and cultivate a portfolio of prospects for the Partnership’s CA-based and national programming.
Work with other Development team members to steward CA-based donors and design and execute cultivation events to raise the Partnership’s profile in the region.
Draft concept papers, grant proposals and grant reports, as required.
Maintain contact and prospect information in Salesforce and ensure meeting notes and other information are appropriately captured in the system.
Work directly with other members of the Development team and adhere to standard procedures to ensure strong communication, collaboration and recordkeeping.
Seek out training opportunities that support professional growth and align with an annual performance management plan.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum seven years of fundraising or relevant work experience, with progressive responsibility
Demonstrated track record of successfully securing major gifts from high-net-worth individuals and significant foundation grants
Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent professional work or military experience
Familiarity with and commitment to using donor relationship management systems; knowledge of Salesforce is preferred.
