About the role
- Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the condition of the building systems
- Provide recommendations for immediate repairs
- Use observations and industry standards to determine future building system replacements
- Conduct appropriate site reconnaissance, data compilation, and organization
- Prepare technical reports and quality supporting documents
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones
- Effectively communicate project progress and issues to Project Manager and client
- Provide recommendations and solutions to Project Manager and clients
Requirements
- A Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Architecture or related Engineering Field (Civil, Mechanical, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in architecture, engineering and/or construction/cost estimating
- 3+ years of experience performing property inspections
- 2+ years of experience completing similar work for financial institutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Must have a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation to project sites
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on projects concurrently with a proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
- Familiar with civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering principles
- Understand concepts of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, replacement costs
