About the role
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools, session hosts, and user profiles.
- Provide L2/L3 support for AVD-related incidents including access issues, performance problems, and connectivity.
- Administer FSLogix profile containers to manage user settings and improve login performance.
- Monitor and optimize AVD infrastructure using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Perform regular patching, image updates, and maintenance of virtual desktops.
- Implement security best practices, including RBAC, Conditional Access, and network policies.
- Collaborate with cloud, network, and security teams to ensure smooth and secure operations.
- Document technical processes, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of IT infrastructure or cloud support experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server OS.
- Proficiency in FSLogix profile configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Azure AD, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring tools and Azure services such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Storage Accounts.
- Microsoft certifications: AZ-104, AZ-140, or MD-102.
- Experience working with hybrid cloud solutions, such as Azure Stack HCI or Citrix on Azure.
- Exposure to ITSM platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
