About the role
- Review and analyse business and technical requirements/user stories
- Design, develop, and maintain detailed test documentation
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
- Contribute to automation test development and maintenance
- Execute API and database validation testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
- Perform root cause analysis and work with developers to resolve issues
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Collaborate across teams to improve test coverage and release quality
- Support CI/CD quality gates and release validation activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Experience with manual testing and exposure to automation
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience using defect tracking tools
- Basic SQL knowledge for data validation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Playwright)
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Karate)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Test Management Tools
