About the role

  • You will take ownership of designing and delivering scalable, maintainable, and performant front-end applications.
  • Beyond coding, you’ll set best practices, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with design, product, and back-end teams to deliver seamless experiences.
  • You’ll play a key role in evolving the front end of an established SaaS product used by real customers.
  • Influence architectural decisions and tooling choices.
  • Opportunities to progress as the team scales.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional front-end development experience, with at least 5 years focused on React in large-scale applications.
  • Track record of building and deploying production-grade React applications.
  • Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering culture.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Expert in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Deep expertise with React (hooks, context, state management, component architecture, performance optimisation).
  • Strong knowledge of CSS and responsive design principles.
  • Proficient in accessibility (WCAG standards) and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Testing experience: unit, integration, and end-to-end.
