About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement, lead, and operate an Integrated Procurement Model, covering the process from budget approval through the ongoing management of contracts, payments, and suppliers
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Technology (IT) and Business teams, supporting decisions regarding demand and contracting models
  • Define and continuously improve roles and responsibilities across Business, IT, Procurement, Legal, and FP&A
  • Establish contracting pathways for transactional, recurring, strategic/critical procurement and specialized consulting services
  • Lead RFx processes (RFI, RFP, and RFQ), including technical and commercial analysis, negotiation, and supplier management
  • Establish supplier-base governance, including segmentation, performance, risks, dependencies, and optimization opportunities
  • Assess contractual, operational, financial, and regulatory risks across the supplier base
  • Conduct negotiations firmly, systematically, and professionally while protecting the bank’s interests
  • Implement automation and Artificial Intelligence in Procurement, including renewal alerts, clause analysis, SLA monitoring, and the detection of deviations and anomalies
  • Create executive visibility for leadership and decision-making forums, integrating Procurement with Expense Matrix Management (GMD), budgeting, and risk management
  • Diagnose processes, bottlenecks, risks, categories, internal customer experience, and the function’s maturity
  • Implement systems, workflows, executive reporting, and dashboards covering KPIs, suppliers, contracts, performance, savings/cost avoidance, and risks
  • Implement dedicated pathways for critical and strategic projects, reducing lead times and increasing predictability
  • Integrate Procurement with the GMD discipline, connecting budgeting, contracting, and monitoring

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid experience in Purchasing/Procurement, particularly in services, technology, and recurring contracts
  • Experience working in a regulated and/or auditable environment, with a strong focus on controls, compliance, and governance
  • Strong understanding of segmentation between transactional and relationship-based/strategic procurement
  • Ability to structure comprehensive scopes of work, including SLAs, penalties, success criteria, and risk mapping
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts, covering terms, penalties, termination, limitations of liability, and exit clauses
  • Clear understanding of CAPEX and OPEX, cost centers, budget packages, and budget lines
  • Data literacy and practical use of Artificial Intelligence applied to Procurement processes, analysis, and decision support
