Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with organizational goals
Lead all engineering and technical operations for broadcast and digital streaming platforms
Oversee technical infrastructure supporting news production, content distribution, and multi-platform delivery
Drive innovation across television and streaming workflows
Ensure regulatory compliance, signal integrity, cybersecurity, and operational reliability
Collaborate with station and division leadership on capital planning, vendor relationships, and technology budgets
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering specialist team
Partner with Director of News Operations and Production to prioritize station projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven leadership experience in broadcast engineering and/or multi-platform media environments
Deep expertise in television transmission, studio systems, newsroom workflows, and streaming technologies
Strong strategic planning and project management skills
Experience leading technical transformation initiatives
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and executive leadership
Knowledge of FCC regulations and industry best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred
