About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Independents HoldCo – Midwest business, collaborating with designated sales teams to drive strategy, execution, and client success across both regions.
- Partner with sales to build client relationships, while also helping the team upsell & renew business across both Broadcast and Cable properties.
- Ensure continuity and success across pre-and post-sale activities - own the entire deal flow & manage its success.
- Work closely with Pricing & Inventory/Planning/Yield teams to build media plans for Upfront & Scatter deals across linear platforms.
- Mentor a team of Sales Associates, assisting them with pre and post-sale processes.
- Manage sponsorship opportunities within the internal system from start to finish.
- Join and participate on sales calls with Account Executives (in-person and virtually).
- Work with Marketing, Research, and Promotion Departments to develop tailored sales presentations.
- Work closely with convergent teams to expand business across all platforms.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of either advertising sales experience (preferably linear) or TV buying/media planning experience at an agency, with a deep knowledge of digital and/or programmatic sales
- A deep desire to win and grow as a Linear Ad Sales professional; thrive in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Extraordinary communication and organizational skills
- Solid written communication skills and ability to think creatively
- Ability to prioritize & multi-task in a dynamic sales environment
- Must be extremely organized, detailed, and accurate with remarkable foresight
- A devoted and driven work ethic
- BS/BA degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience working with Phoenix, Salestrack, WideOrbit, FreeWheel, Salesforce, and/or Operative.
