About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write, produce, and edit brand-aligned, daily marketing messages
- Populate all station platforms with content
- Find the most human part of every story and build content around it
- Attend and contribute to weekly story meetings, brainstorms, and team huddles
- Turn newsroom moments into external marketing content
- Write, produce, and edit for all screens
- Attend station promotions and brand activations at events across the region
Requirements
What you’ll need- A writer who sounds like a person and not a promo.
- A strong communicator with at least two years of broadcast or agency experience.
- Someone passionate about local journalism and community service.
- Someone who knows the difference between info and impact.
- A collaborator who brings energy into a room and ideas into the work.
- Someone with excellent writing skills who understands brand standards.
- Someone who shuns the cliché and seeks something original.
- A creative who understands how to communicate clearly to an audience.
- Someone who can collaborate on client productions alongside talent.
- A storyteller who understands narrative structures, parts of a story, and visual language.
- A Bachelor’s in Communications, TV Broadcast, or Marketing is preferred.
