About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identifying and creating content as well as working closely with reporters on story development.
- Must craft a newscast that includes more than just story placement.
- Focus on thoughtful transitions and breakout opportunities; strong tease writing; creative use of graphics; and advanced production techniques.
- Solid in the booth with effective communication skills, ability to make quick decisions and manage breaking news.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum two years proven experience as a line producer in a medium or large market preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
- Must be results-oriented, innovative, demonstrate teamwork and be willing to work weekends.
- Bachelor’s or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred.
