About the role
- Lead backend platform strategy and execution for CBS Digital's affiliate sports betting business
- Coordinate development of scalable, compliant, reusable services powering odds ingestion, market data, affiliate tracking, geo-compliance, and partner enablement
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, partnerships, and content groups to deliver backend capabilities
- Develop and drive product strategy, feature roadmaps, and market positioning
- Provide technical leadership across affiliate betting technologies and champion user-centric development
- Ensure regulatory compliance and platform reliability in partnership with engineering and legal teams
- Manage end-to-end product development, launches, performance monitoring, and product costing
- Use data analytics and customer feedback to inform product decisions and improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a suitable technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience
- 15+ years experience in technical product management, backend platforms, or infrastructure in digital media, gaming, or sports betting
- Deep technical knowledge of backend technologies supporting sports betting workflows, including odds ingestion, market data integration, affiliate tracking systems, geo-compliance, and partner APIs
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies in the digital sports and affiliate ecosystem
