About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate studio, robotic, handheld, and jib cameras
  • Perform audio mixing and transmission operations, including coordinating live shots, feeds, and recordings
  • Prepare the studio for broadcast and shut it down afterward
  • Run the teleprompter and follow camera cues, time cues, and cut-ins
  • Set up microphones and operate audio consoles
  • Collaborate with Directors and Anchors
  • Manage studio guests
  • Deliver work within newscast deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years TV production and operations experience in a similar size market or comparable operation to those at KCNC
  • Live television or similar broadcast experience
  • Ability to work well with others in stressful environments and circumstances
  • Ability to work under pressure and on a deadline
  • Ability to stand for several hours at a time, sit, lift 25 lbs. and climb ladders
  • Valid drivers license
